Rajendra - Music Review

Harinath Policherla a passionate movie producer/actor from detroit, Michigan makes yet another movie. He roped in Koti as a music director for his latest venture, Rajendra. Nice to see Koti again as its been some long time. Koti's army of singers are mostly from Super Singer 5 who made a good rapport with Koti who was a guide to these singers. Nice to see him encourage in his capacity all the upcoming singers instead of importing from North.

Annavante Nuvve
Artist(s): Nihal, Sruthi, Lakshmi Gayatri
Lyricist: Suddala Ashok Teja

Album starts with a brother sentiment song. Koti cameup with a catchy, fast paced tune with full chance for a group dance number. Suddala Ashok teja lyrics are very apt. Pallavi had all words to elavate "Anna". Nihal had all the required energy, did good justice to the song, except Annavante sounded like Annamante at times, and the female singers did good job.. Chorus brought a good feel to the song. Overall this sentiment song should fly in the movie. Tuned with grandness hope picturization will be grand.

Naa Oohala Pallakilo
Artist(s): Hemachandra, Malavika
Lyricist: Haranath Policherla

Suprised to see the Haranath as lyricist and this song is decent. However didnt feel the tune and lyric gelled well enough for the flow, had a disconnect. Something is missing. May be need to hear couple of more times.

Aavo Naa Raja
Artist(s): Deepu, Geetha Madhuri
Lyricist: Kaluva Sai

An item song, standard lyric and tune, Geeta Madhuri and Deepu's accent didnt work out well for the song they are too artificial, Geeta madhuri now a days seems to be singing with a different voice not sure why. Expected more from Deepu but disappointed with his performance in this song. Song goes so so, may be movie might bring some assence.

Chinnari Papalle Eedavaku
Artist(s): Sri Krishna
Lyricist: Vanamali

Srikrishna rendered this soft song very well that suits his voice perfectly. I am not that capable of finding mistakes with music directors like Koti, but the song that has lines parugulaapi chirugaali pade pade laali there is a break then continues with paadenamma, I feel that it would have been apt if the break was after pade pade and continued with laali paadenamma. Overall a good song to listen.

Life is a Magic
Artist(s): Geetha Madhuri, Sri Krishna
Lyricist: Haranath Policherla

Title song, nothing worth to mention. Passing on..

Panchadara Chilaka 1
Artist(s): Hemachandra, Sunitha
Lyricist: Shiva Shakti Datta

One more decent song. Teasing song?? This album has decent lyrics this song is good in terms of lyrics some violent thoughts though. The team should be commended for that. these are good like  rudraveenane meetutu oka paata vinipista - vintava, nee movi pai venuvai swaralaharinai vinispista vinata, ayyo krishna vintava..

Rajamundry Meraka Veedhi
Artist(s): Kousalya, Raghu Kunche
Lyricist: Kaluva Sai

mejuvani night pedite mokshame nu raa, talks all about this song. Koti did the best to this song, showed that he has still stuff in him.. Raghu and Kousalya brought all the elements required for this song, The song will go places if picturization

Panchadara Chilaka 2
Artist(s): Sri Krishna, Nitya Santhoshini
Lyricist: Haranath Policherla
2nd version (pathos) of earlier one, However the titles had Haranath for this song could be wrong. Female version of the initial song.

Pick of the album(s): Annavante, chinnari paapalle, Panchadara ( for lyrics ), Rajahmundry.

Overall an decent album from Koti, definetely Haranath fans can enjoy this album, Others can listen for the picks.

Just my thought: Dr Haranath Policherla who has passion and ability to raise funds or fund a movie by himself need to contribute towards Telugu history, culture and language thru movie media. Then only he can make impact. It would be great if he focuses his movies on these elements instead of making commercial movies. These kind of people are the ones who can make things possible, as these are literally impossible for normal cine junta whose focus is on making money and fame. Dr. Haranath unlike others who comes with passion and making money is not a goal, he needs to be a  maker of good cinema instead of routine commercial movies. Wish him all the best..
